Teams often struggle with product discovery, stakeholder collaboration, high-quality Sprint Reviews, and value focus—areas rolled into “Stakeholder Concern.” This undermines effectiveness because teams don’t closely partner with stakeholders to understand what’s valuable.
Metaphor
It’s like running a restaurant without ever asking diners what they actually want to eat. You might perfect the kitchen process and plate every dish beautifully, but if the menu never changes or ignores customer tastes, the tables stay empty.
Likewise, when teams underinvest in stakeholder concern, they risk delivering polished increments that miss the mark on real value.
Scrum seeks to overcome this challenge by actively involving stakeholders.
