What Is Product Backlog Management?
Product Backlog Management is the ongoing act of adjusting and ordering items so the Scrum Team can deliver the most valuable product possible. It ensures the team focuses on what to pursue now, later, or not at all.
Metaphor
Product Backlog Management is like tending a fridge—you toss out spoiled leftovers, stock new ingredients, and put what needs cooking soon up front. Both require constant upkeep, or else things rot and get forgotten in the back.
In Scrum, Backlog Management keeps the team working with the freshest, most valuable options.
