Why Should Goals Not Be Mechanically Pursued?
Goals are catalysts for discussion rather than rigid mandates. Teams should adapt them based on what they learn about customer value.
Metaphor
Chasing goals mechanically is like following a GPS even when it tells you to drive into a lake. The device gives direction, but only judgment and adaptation keep you on a safe path.
In the same way, goals are meant to spark learning conversations, not trap teams in blind obedience when reality changes.
